Quality in TourismKings Manor Farm has been operating on this site (formerly known as Freshwater Farm and listed in Doomsday Book) since 1968. It is a 1550 acre mixed dairy and arable farm currently in organic conversion and has recently been identified as one of the most exciting environmental schemes on the South coast of England.

Set within an area of outstanding natural beauty, the farm surrounds the River Yar and provides one of the most exciting environmental habitats in southern England with an extraordinary range of biodiversity. The family have preserved the estuary in its natural state for 40 years, treating the tidal area as a wildlife sanctuary.

A substantial proportion of the farm lies on the west bank of the River Yar through which passes the Freshwater to Yarmouth footpath, a very popular walk particularly in the summer months, with its spectacular views over the estuary and across to the down-land and countryside of the West Wight. The family are committed to maintaining a mixed farm, creating sustainable environmental schemes, and giving improved access to both the local community and the tourist industry

The farm also holds a collection of original farm machinery, tractors, implements, a model aeroplane, Formula 1 racing car, and a unique collection of over 600 photographs describing Harry Ferguson’s life and inventions.
